Allow other schemas to reference objects from a schema

Assets is included with Service Collection Paid plans (Standard, Premium, and Enterprise). What Assets is and how it works.

You can allow other schemas to view and reference any objects contained in a schema. This can be used to combine individual object schemas into an even larger collection of data. To do this, you must be logged in as a Jira admin or have Object Schema Manager permissions.

There are two ways to enable this feature:

From Assets:

  1. Go to the app switcher and select Assets.

  2. From your sidebar, select Schemas.

  3. Select a schema.

  4. Under the General tab, select Allow others to select objects from this schema.

From within an object schema:

  1. Select Object schema in the top right and select Settings in the dropdown.

  2. Under the General tab, select Allow others to select objects from this schema.
