Atlassian Guard is an organization-wide subscription that connects your Atlassian cloud products to your identity provider. It provides user management, enterprise-grade authentication, and several data security features. Understand Atlassian Guard
Atlassian Guard Premium is an add-on for Atlassian Guard Standard that provides data protection and threat detection for supported products across your organization.
Your Atlassian Guard Premium bill is based on product access. Your bill will show the number of users that you’re paying for.
A user counts towards your bill for Atlassian Guard Premium if they are a unique user with access to at least one Confluence or Jira product on any plan (including Free and Enterprise plans).
Atlassian Guard Premium is not included with your Enterprise plan.
Here’s a simple example showing how your Atlassian Guard Premium bill only includes users that have access to Jira and Confluence.
If your organization has 8,000 people with access to at least one Confluence or Jira, and a further 2,000 people who only have access to other products such as Trello or Bitbucket, the user count on your Atlassian Guard Premium bill would be 8,000.
Some user accounts that don’t count towards your Atlassian Guard Standard bill will count towards your Atlassian Guard Premium bill. For example, members of a non-billable authentication policy count towards your Atlassian Guard Premium bill if they have product access. This is because they are covered by the data protection and threat detection features.
A user does not count towards your bill for Atlassian Guard Premium if:
their account is deactivated
they don’t have access to at least one Jira or Confluence product.
they only have access to Jira Service Management or Jira Product Discovery.
