Deactivate a subscription

We’re rolling out an improved billing experience to make it easier to manage your cloud subscriptions. This means your subscriptions could be managed on either the original or the improved experience. Read more about the key differences

The following screenshots indicate how the interface of the two billing experiences differs.

What happens when you deactivate a subscription?

When you deactivate a subscription, it's deactivated 15 days after the end of your current subscription period.

Your subscription might also get deactivated if you fail to pay for your subscription within 15 days of the payment due date, at which point you’ll no longer be able to access the app.

Once your subscription is deactivated, it will appear on the Inactive tab on the Subscriptions page.

App subscription deactivations

App subscriptions on the Free plan will be deactivated immediately. Any sandbox instances of your app will be permanently removed and data deleted after the deactivation.

If you're on a free trial of a Standard or Premium plan, deactivating your app will also end your trial.

Marketplace app subscription deactivations

After a paid Marketplace app has been deactivated, you can uninstall it from Apps > Manage apps.

When you deactivate an Atlassian app that has Marketplace apps installed, the Marketplace app subscription will also be deactivated.

What happens when you deactivate a collection subscription?

When you deactivate a collection subscription, your subscription plus any included apps will be deactivated 15 days after the end of your current subscription period.

Your subscription and included apps might also get deactivated if you don’t pay for it within 15 days of the payment due date — at this point, you’ll no longer be able to access any included apps.

Once your subscription is deactivated, it will appear on the Inactive tab on the Subscriptions page.

Can I deactivate a collection subscription and keep included apps?

Yes, you can choose to keep any number of included apps. Contact us with your request, and our team will contact you and help you retain individual subscriptions in the collection. Any included apps that you choose to keep will move to the Subscriptions list and continue to be billed according to your billing date and cycle.

Deactivating a Service Collection cancels all included apps. You won’t be able to retain any included apps.

Free plan and trial deactivations

Subscriptions on the Free plan will be deactivated immediately.

If you're on a free trial of a Standard or Premium plan, deactivating your app will also end your trial.

Linked Marketplace app deactivations

When you deactivate an Atlassian app included in a collection, any Marketplace apps installed on that app will also be deactivated. After a Marketplace app has been deactivated, you can uninstall it from Apps > Manage apps.

無料で含まれるもの

When you deactivate a Premium or Enterprise collection, any free apps (like Atlassian Guard Standard and Rovo agents) will also be deactivated up to the user tier on which they were installed.

How does deactivation impact your data?

If you deactivate your app subscription, we won’t process any further renewals. After your subscription period ends, you’ll be able to access your site for 15 more days. Your site will then be deactivated, and your product data will be retained for a period of time, which varies depending on your plan. See Track storage and move data across apps for detailed information about data retention policies.

If you want an immediate deletion of your personal data, you can submit a request.

Data retention policies for Marketplace app subscriptions are not controlled by Atlassian. The data retention period and reactivation time period are set by the Marketplace app vendor based on their policy and procedure.

Undo a scheduled deactivation

If you deactivate a subscription in the middle of a billing cycle, the deactivation is scheduled, and will take place at the end of your current billing cycle.

To undo a scheduled deactivation:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com/billing. Select your billing account if you have more than one.

  2. Select Subscriptions, find the subscription you’ve scheduled for deactivation, and select Manage.

  3. Select Undo deactivation, then follow the on-screen instructions to contact support.

When you undo a scheduled deactivation, your billing date stays the same. So, instead of deactivating your subscription at the end of the current billing cycle, we’ll charge your chosen payment method.

請求への影響

大部分のプランで、サブスクリプションは現在の請求期間が終わる時点で終了し、クレジットカードが再び請求されることはありません。請求期間の終了よりも前にアカウントをキャンセルする場合、請求額の割引は提供されません。

If you have an Enterprise plan, this change will not affect your Enterprise bill, but may affect your Atlassian Guard Standard bill. Any users that no longer have access to any app instances in your Enterprise plan, but have access to other apps, may now count towards your Atlassian Guard Standard bill. If you don’t need to apply Atlassian Guard Standard security settings to these users, you can add them to a non-billable authentication policy. Learn more about authentication policies
