Verify your identity

Organization admins can enforce an additional layer of security by requiring you to verify your identity before accessing their Atlassian products.

Verify your identity using a verification code

When you're prompted to verify your identity as you try to access an Atlassian product:

1. Go to your inbox where you will find an email from us with the subject: Verify your identity.

2. Copy the six-digit verification code that we provide.

3. Enter the verification code in the designated box.

How often do you need to verify your identity?

Your session will be valid for 7 days, so you will need to verify your identity again once the session expires.

How long is the verifications code valid for?

The verification code we send you via email is valid for 10 minutes. If you don’t use it within this time, you will need to request a new code.
