Goals and Projects app availability
Goals and Projects apps will be available to all Atlassian customers in Q2 2026. These apps are a core part of Atlassian’s System of Work philosophy, helping teams connect day-to-day work to real business outcomes. As platform apps, they are included at no additional cost.
If you don’t already see Goals and Projects in Atlassian Administration, you can expect them to appear during April to May 2026.
What’s changing and who it impacts
Goals and Projects are platform apps, already available to most Atlassian customers at no additional cost. We’re completing the final phase of rollout by automatically provisioning them for remaining eligible customers who don’t yet have access.
Admins control whether and when to grant user access to these apps in Atlassian Administration. Users won't have access unless an admin enables them.
How to manage access
Go to Atlassian Administration and select your organization.
Select Apps (in centralized user management) or Product access (in the original experience).
Open Goals or Projects and grant or revoke roles for users or groups, just as you would for Jira or Confluence.

Rollout timeline
If your organization hasn’t received Goals and Projects, they will become available in Atlassian Administration during April to May 2026.

Can I opt out of receiving the Goals and Projects apps? | No. We’re provisioning Goals and Projects to all Atlassian customers because they are foundational to the Atlassian System of Work. While customers can no longer opt out of platform experiences, admins control who in your organization can use them by managing access in Atlassian Administration. |

We use Atlassian Government Cloud and require FedRAMP compliance. Will we receive these apps too? | No. Goals and Projects don’t yet have FedRAMP compliance, so they won’t be made available for Atlassian Government Cloud customers at this stage. |
We have HIPAA requirements and a BAA with Atlassian. Are Goals and Projects covered by the BAA? | Goals and Projects are not considered HIPAA-eligible apps and are not covered by your Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Atlassian.
