How to add "Product Admin" for JIRA

Summary

We often come across cases where customers find it difficult to add users to Jira as product admins. For confluence when users are added to the product, two roles are available "User" & "Product Admin". However, only "User" is available in Jira, which leads to confusion.

Cause

For Jira, apart from Jira, an extra product is available in the product list and that is "JIRA ADMINISTRATION". All users who need to be added as Jira product admins must be members of this product.

Solution

• Naviagte to Admin.atlassian.com > Products > Jira Administration > Manage Access. 

• Add User/groups with the role "Product Admin"
