Install the Loom desktop app
Visit the Loom Desktop page, choose between Mac or PC, and follow the prompts.
If you have an older version of MacOS, you will need to download the previous version of Loom. Select the drop-down menu from the Download button and follow the prompts.
From there, you'll need to follow the installation instructions:
On Mac
Move Loom to your Applications folder.
To launch Loom, search your Applications folder. Drag your Loom icon to your taskbar for easy future access.
The first time you run it, Loom for MacOS might need permission to access your desktop, camera, and microphone. Loom will show you how to do this. When complete, you will likely need to restart the app.
Find Loom in the menu bar or the dock. Select the icon to record or take a screenshot in Loom.
On Windows PC
Run the .exe file and follow the instructions.
Search your Start menu or Applications folder for Loom. Drag the Loom icon to your desktop for future access.
And now you're ready to record with the Loom desktop app.
