Recording with the Loom desktop app
Check out the updated Loom for MacOS app, now available for MacOS version 15 (Sequoia) or newer.
Desktop app (MacOS)
Install the Desktop app and select the Loom icon from the menu bar or dock.
Choose your recording mode:
Record display captures your entire monitor.
Record window captures a specific app window.
Record custom size lets you drag your cursor to capture a specific part of your screen.
Record camera only records fullscreen video of your camera.
Select the Camera and Microphone you want to use, then select Record or Record for agent to begin.
Desktop app (Windows and older Macbooks)
Install the Desktop app and select Loom Icon from your device's control bar.
Choose your recording mode:
Full Screen
Window
Custom size
Select the Camera and Microphone you want to use, then select Start recordoing to begin.
To remove recording controls or adjust for low light, select the More actions () menu, then Settings.
