As an organization admin, you can log in as another user to ensure their permissions in an app are set correctly. It's particularly useful when you’re setting up a new user. You may also need to log in as another user to troubleshoot their account. When you’re logged in as another user, you see everything as that user would see it, including any content restricted to them.
You can’t make updates to a user’s profile by logging in as them. If they’re a managed account, you can make updates to their profile in Administration. You also can’t:
log in as another organization admin.
log in as a user who hasn’t accessed an app in your organization yet.
log in as your own account to access an app.
log in to Jira Service Management portal-only customer accounts.
