Using Rovo Deep Research
Rovo Deep Research provides more detailed and thoughtful answers to complex prompts. It works by taking your prompt and converting it into a research plan, breaking it down into tasks. Once it has established a plan, it goes through the tasks in a structured research process and provides you with a comprehensive report.
How to use Deep Research:
Open a New chat from the Rovo Chat window or select Rovo Chat from the top navigation bar
Select Deep Research
Submit your prompt. Your prompt can be anything that complies with our acceptable use policy. See more on writing prompts
You can upload files to your prompt if you want to provide Rovo with additional context.
Once you’ve submitted your prompt, it will take a few minutes for Rovo to provide a response. Keep the chat window open while it’s processing. You can select Notify me when it’s done if you’d like to receive a browser notification when the research is complete. If you opt in to receive the notification, you still need to keep the window open until the response is complete.
Deep Research reasoning
While Deep Research is underway, Rovo will display its reasoning for each step in the research plan, including the number of sources it’s using and how it’s using them. Deep Research can access the same sources as typical conversation in Rovo Chat, including organizational knowledge, connected 3P sources, or context added to your prompt like a file, a smart link, or an @mention.
You can view the reasoning once the research is complete by scrolling to the beginning of the response and expanding the section labeled Research complete.
If you select Sources, we’ll open a list of linked sources that you may independently review if you choose to. Sources are also listed at the end of the complete response.
Each use of Deep Research uses AI credits. To learn more about credit consumption, see Rovo usage quota
