Debug responses from Rovo agents

After you’ve used a Rovo agent in Rovo Chat or in an automation flow, you can use the ‘Debug response’ feature to see exactly what subagent the agent picked, what tools it used, and what inputs and outputs were involved in creating its response. This feature makes it easier to troubleshoot, optimize, and understand how your Rovo agents work.

Debug agent responses in Rovo Chat

To use the ‘Debug response’ feature for agents in Rovo Chat:

  1. Open Rovo Chat and start chatting with your chosen agent. Or, open a previous chat with an agent.

  2. Select the { } button that appears at the bottom of the agent’s response.

  3. You will be able to view the subagent, agent ID, request ID and Language Model ID that the agent’s response was informed by.

  4. Select thebutton to copy any of these individual details, or select Copy all if you want to copy all of them.

Debug agent responses in Automation

You can only access the ‘Debug log’ for flows you’ve created, and that are connected to Rovo via your own account. To protect the security of flows, you can’t access the ‘Debug log’ for flows that were created by others or are connected to Rovo via other user’s accounts - even if they exist in your team’s site.

To access the 'Debug log' for the Use Rovo agent action in Automation:

  1. Create a new flow, or open an existing flow you own, which contains the Use Rovo agent action.

  2. After the flow has successfully finished running, open the automation audit log.

  3. Open your flow’s log.

  4. Select the Use Rovo Agent action.

  5. Select View debug log.

  6. You will be able to view the subagent, agent ID, and request ID that the agent’s response was informed by.

  7. Select thebutton to copy any of these individual details, or select Copy all if you want to copy all of them.
