Automatically install the Rovo browser extension across your company
You can automatically install the Rovo browser extension across your organization to increase adoption and make it easy for your staff to use Rovo anywhere they work.
You can do this for Chrome through the Google Admin Console for either:
your whole organization
specific groups or units
This method is only available for administrators who manage Chrome policies from the Google Admin console.
Before you begin
If you haven’t setup an extension to be automatically installed through Google Admin Console before, you’ll need to:
Put the user accounts or browsers in a group or organizational unit. Only user accounts, not browsers, can be added to groups. For details, see Google’s documentation on Groups and how to Add an organizational unit.

What’s next
To help you have a smooth rollout, it’s important to know what happens next:
Your users should see the Rovo Chrome Extension installed the next time they open Chrome. It’ll open an introduction screen that looks like this:
2. They’ll be asked to log in to their Atlassian account.
3. Once logged in, the extension will ask the user whether they’d like to set the Rovo extension as their new browser homepage. Although we recommend it, it’s not required. They’ll see a dialog message like this:
They can choose to:
Keep it to try Rovo’s new tab page. They can switch this back at any time.
Change it back if they’d prefer to keep their existing Chrome homepage.
Changing the new tab page and other options
At any point, your users can change the extension options by:
On the new tab page, select the gear icon in the top right.
Otherwise, in their browser, right-click on the Rovo extension icon (it may be under the puzzle piece icon), and select Options.
Communicate the change to your organization
Below is a template you can modify and use to let your staff know about the extension rollout. Before you send it out, you need to tailor the messaging by:
changing the ‘Universal Search and Chat’ dot point to include any specific third-party connectors you’ve setup to search
adding specific use cases or screenshots of how you can use Rovo within your organization
