Accessing Rovo Chat
Rovo Chat is easily accessible within Jira, Jira Service Management, Jira Product Discovery and Confluence, providing you with the assistance you need without disrupting your workflow.
To use Chat:
Select Chat from the top navigation bar, near your profile icon or avatar.
Chat will open in a sidebar.
Whether you have questions, need content edited, or tasks identified, Chat is prepared to respond to your commands and prompts.
Other ways to access Chat include:
Atlassian Home: Use the Rovo button in the app switcher or the left navigation in Atlassian Home
AI editor (must have Atlassian Intelligence enabled): When you’re writing content using an Atlassian tool (for example, editing a Confluence page or editing a Jira issue description), you can type /ai to open the AI editor and give a custom prompt (“Tell AI…”) When you receive a response to your prompt, you’ll have the option to continue the conversation in Rovo Chat.
Your browser: You can use the Atlassian Rovo browser extension to access the Chat sidebar from your browser and use it alongside any webpage you’re on.
Accessing Chat history
Chat history is available from the dropdown menu at the top of the chat.
Selecting a prior chat allows you to switch the current Chat back to that conversation, continuing from where you left off. Your chats are private and only visible to you.
Chat stores your messages and the answers you receive for 30 days so that you can retrieve and display your conversation history.
From the More actions () menu on each of your chats, you can:
Rename your Chat
Delete a chat
