Disconnect your identity provider

You can connect or disconnect an identity provider for your portal-only customers (Jira Service Management) when you subscribe to Atlassian Access (soon to be Atlassian Guard Standard). Read more about disconnecting an identity provider for portal-only customers.

Who can do this?
Role: Organization admin
Plan: Atlassian Access (soon to be Atlassian Guard Standard)

Disconnect an identity provider for your users

When you disconnect an identity provider, we delete its directory; move the users from the directory to the default authentication policy in the local directory; and move any linked domains to the local directory.

Before you can disconnect your identity provider, you need to:

  • Delete SAML configuration

  • Delete user provisioning configuration

You can also:

  • Link domains to a different directory

To disconnect your identity provider:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Security > Identity providers.

  3. Select Directory for the identity provider you’d like to disconnect.

  4. Select View SAML > Delete configuration to delete SAML.

  5. Select Delete configuration to delete user provisioning.

  6. Select View domains > Link to a different directory.

  7. Select Disconnect identity provider.
