Uninstall and reinstall the Loom desktop app
A clean reinstall helps fix persistent problems by completely removing the app and all its hidden files before you download the latest version. This ensures you’re starting with a fresh setup.
On Windows, antivirus or firewall programs may block the batch file. If this happens, disable them temporarily or use manual removal steps provided below.
On Mac, ensure AppCleaner is installed correctly and that you confirm deletion of all detected Loom-related files.
If using a VPN or custom firewall, disable these tools during reinstallation as they may interfere with downloads or app performance.
