Manage your link expanding, integrations, and inline play

With Loom's Link Expanding feature, copying and pasting a Loom video link into supported platforms will automatically pull in the Loom embed player. This allows you to watch the video inline so you don't have to leave the context of the conversation.

To facilitate link expanding, you must have the Loom Chrome extension installed. By having this installed, you unlock the ability for the Chrome Extension to recognize Loom links and turn them into the embedded video player.

You must install Loom Chrome extension to facilitate link expanding in Loom.

You can easily manage your Link Expanding settings in your Loom Account Settings, here's how:

  1. From your Library, select your avatar bubble in the top right corner, then select Account Settings.

  2. Select Integrations from top navigation bar.

  3. From here, you can manage which platforms you would like the Loom extension to automatically pull the Loom embed player when a video link is added.

For embedded/inline videos, Loom integrates with the following apps and platforms:

  • Gmail

  • Intercom

  • Github

  • Jira

  • Google Docs

  • Hacker News

  • InVision

  • Dropbox.

  • Product Hunt

  • GitLab

  • Salesforce

  • Salesforce IQ

  • Zendesk

  • Notion

  • Headway

Integrate Google Workspaces and Google Chat

If you share a Loom video to Google Docs or Google Slides, your video will be turned in into a Smart chip. Smart chips provide a preview of your Loom video as well as the video summary.

You must have Loom Google Workspace app installed in order for Loom preview to appear.

If you are sharing your video in Google Chat, your video will automatically be shared with a video preview.

Integrate with Chameleon

To use this integration, you will need to enable Loom in Chameleon integrations dashboard. You can then share a Loom video by launching it from a button with the Additional Actions feature, as seen below. Learn more about this integration here
