Make videos eligible for AI-editing features
Loom AI-powered features—like automatic summaries, chapters, and filler word removal—require specific recording conditions. By following these preparation steps, you ensure your videos are automatically processed with the full suite of AI editing tools.
AI features are available exclusively on the Business + AI and Enterprise plans. These features are not available on Free or Education plans.
Deleting a workspace or an account is an irreversible action. Ensure all AI-processed content is backed up before closing an account, as deleted data cannot be recovered.
Meet video requirements for AI processing
To ensure Loom can generate AI content such as titles, summaries, and tasks, your recording must meet minimum technical requirements. For example, videos must be at least 60 seconds long to generate AI-powered features like chapters, summaries, and titles.
Ensure the video contains audio
Loom AI features require audio to generate transcripts, which are essential for features like silence/filler word removal, summaries, and document creation.
Make sure your microphone is enabled, and audio is present during the recording.
Make sure your video has a transcript
Before troubleshooting technical errors, verify that your video meets the minimum requirements for AI processing.
Open your Loom video and select the Transcript tab.
Verify that a transcript has been generated. If you see a Generate button, select it and wait for the process to complete.
Verify the spoken language is supported by Loom. Unsupported languages (for example, Hebrew) will fail to produce transcripts, disabling all AI functionality.
If your transcript fails to generate again, contact Loom Support for assistance.
Automatic AI features are not retroactive.
Automatic AI features (title, summary, chapters, and meeting recaps) are only applied to videos recorded or uploaded after upgrading to an eligible plan. These AI features will not retroactively apply to older videos recorded before your plan was upgraded.
On-demand AI features (document generation, silence or filler word removal, and edit by transcript) can be used on all videos regardless of creation date. Read more about Loom AI features
