Getting Started
Change or cancel your Trello plan
Change a Workspace’s plan
You’ll need to be a Workspace administrator to change your Standard or Premium Workspace to another plan.
To change your Workspace’s plan:
Expand the sidebar and select Settings then Billing
Select Explore plans to see the current upgrade and downgrade options for your Workspace
Choose the plan you prefer
When you change from Premium to Standard your Workspace will change to the new plan at the end of its billing period.
When you change from Standard to Premium, your Workspace will be upgraded, and you will be charged a pro-rated amount immediately.
Cancel a Workspace’s plan
To cancel your Trello Premium or Standard Workspace plan, you’ll need to be a Workspace administrator.
To cancel the Workspace’s plan:
Expand the sidebar and select Settings then Billing
Select Cancel at the bottom of the page
Your Workspace plan will be canceled at the end of its billing period and it will become a free Workspace
You can change or cancel your Workspace plan from the web version of Trello. Our desktop and mobile apps don’t currently support subscription management.
To change an Enterprise plan, contact your assigned advocate or raise a ticket with Trello Support.
What happens when a Workspace is downgraded to free
Workspaces keep all current paid features until the end of their billing period. After that:
The 10 most active Workspace boards will remain open. Other boards will be closed, but not deleted. Extra boards can be closed or moved to a different Workspace before downgrading. How to reopen a closed board
Boards in that Workspace will become view-only until the number of collaborators is reduced below 10. More about the collaborator limit in free Workspaces
Data from paid features will be hidden, but not deleted. Export data before downgrading, or upgrade again to view the data.
Change plans during a trial
You can test a Premium Workspace by starting a free trial from our free trial page, or from your Workspace’s billing page.
If you add a credit card, your plan will auto-renew at the end of the trial period. If you don’t add a credit card your free trial will be canceled at the end of the trial period.
If you start a Premium trial on a Standard Workspace, your Workspace will automatically upgrade to a Premium Workspace at the end of the trial, at which point you will be charged for a Premium Workspace plan.
If you start a Premium trial on your Standard Workspace but don’t want to move to a Premium Workspace at the end of the trial, you can opt-out.
If you cancel your Standard Workspace plan while in a Premium free trial, you’ll continue to have access to Premium features until the trial ends, at which point the subscription will end.
