Prerequisites for connecting and detecting instances

Prerequisites for connecting to your Data Center instances and detecting other Data Center instances based on existing connections. These prerequisites apply to both cloud readiness assessments and instance health insights.

• You need system administrator permissions for Data Center instances

• An Atlassian organization (free to create)

• Works with any supported Jira or Confluence Data Center version

• You can have different admins between Cloud and Data Center. When connecting, they’ll be able to share the required connection details between them.

If you’re unable to connect your Data Center instance, you can manually collect and upload the results. There are separate manual uploads for Cloud readiness and Optimization insights:

Connecting to Data Center instances

Atlassian Cloud アプリ

No prerequisites. We’ll add detected apps to the list, there’s no need to connect to them.

Atlassian Data Center instances

To connect to a Data Center instance:

• For Jira Data Center 11.3 or later and Confluence Data Center 10.2 or later:

  1. Set up an organization cloud connector

  2. Install or upgrade the Cloud Companion app to version 2.0.1 or higher when it’s available

• For Jira Data Center 11.2 or earlier and Confluence Data Center 10.1 or earlier, install the Cloud Companion app:

  1. Go to Administration > Manage apps.

  3. Search for Cloud companion and install it.

  1. Go to Administration > System > Allowlist.

  2. Add the following domain: https://api.atlassian.com.

  3. Select Update to save your changes. For more details, see Configuring the allowlist.

Detecting other Data Center instances

Prerequisites that improve the initial detection of Data Center instances based on verified domains or existing connection.

Verifying your domain allows Portfolio insights to better identify and associate instances within your organization's ecosystem, providing a more comprehensive view of your Atlassian portfolio.

Cloud Migration Assistant をアップデートする

Update the Cloud Migration assistants to the latest versions.

• Jira Cloud Migration Assistant on Marketplace

• Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant on Marketplace

Cloud Migration Assistants are required to detect your instances based on app links. They’re also required for cloud readiness insights, so it’s useful to update them at this point already.
