What is the Customizations page?

The Customizations page is in beta. Features may change as we improve them based on your feedback. To share feedback, select Give feedback on the Customizations page.

The Customizations page in Portfolio insights lists the customizations on your Jira and Confluence Data Center instances. A customization is anything installed or configured beyond the product's defaults that could affect your move to cloud, such as apps, scripts, workflows, custom fields, and application links. Seeing them in one list helps you plan your migration instead of finding them partway through.

Use it to:

  • See every customization detected on an instance in one place

  • Understand what each customization does and how complex it is to move

  • Find a migration path for most customizations: a built-in cloud feature, an AI-based solution, a Forge app, or a Marketplace app

  • Spot customizations that have no migration path early, so you can plan around them

AI-powered migration recommendations

Available for: Jira, Confluence (Data Center)

When you generate recommendations, the Customizations page uses AI to analyze your customizations and suggest a migration path and a complexity rating of Low, Medium, or High for most of them. Each recommendation also explains what the customization does and what you can do to move it to cloud. You can download the results as a PDF report.

Recommendations are generated by AI and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review each one before you act on it.

Get started with the Customizations page

To get started, install or update the Portfolio insights app on your Data Center instance, then run a scan with the Customizations Scanner that comes with it. Next, create a support zip that includes the scan report and upload it to Portfolio insights. Check the pages below for the steps and prerequisites.

Who can use the Customizations page

You need to be an organization admin to view the Customizations page in Atlassian Administration. To scan a Data Center instance and create a support zip, you need to be a system administrator of that instance. You don't need a cloud subscription to use Portfolio insights.

セキュリティ情報

To learn more about security in Portfolio insights, including what data is collected when you upload a support zip and how AI uses it, see Security and data handling.
