Review Marketplace apps with high rendering times
This recommendation appears when we detect one or more Marketplace apps are taking an unusually long time to render page content, which may be affecting performance and page load times.
Signals used
The following conditions need to occur together for us to detect this issue:
At least one of the key experiences, such as page view or page edit, shows degraded page load or ready-for-user (RFU) times.
The
macro.rendermetric for a Marketplace app was degraded over the same time window when RFU degraded, compared to previous weeks. The
macro.rendermetric is degraded for fewer than 5 apps. This number makes it more likely that the issue is specific to these apps and isn’t a broader system problem.
What is macro.render?
This metric represents the time it takes for a Marketplace app macro to render page content. Excessive render duration can slow down page responses and increase load on the instance.
フィルター
When the issue occurs multiple times, we group their signals under different filters, for example, Last 24 hours or Last 7 days.
In the Degraded experiences section of the recommendation, we show the highest degradation from all occurrences.
In the Identified apps section, we list all apps that contributed to this issue. For each app, we show the percentage of all occurrences it caused.
頻度
Similar to the filters, the Frequency section shows occurrences of this issue over time. It can help you spot specific patterns. For example, you’ll be able to spot apps that cause high render times during a specific day of the week or time of day.
推奨されるアクション
We recommend that you review and investigate the identified apps. The process to solve this issue will depend on the Marketplace app and what it does. Here are some actions you can take:
Review recent configuration or version changes
Check the list of apps shown in the recommendation. In each app, look for any recent changes, such as new features or modules, configuration updates, new or updated automations, listeners, or integrations, or a recent install or upgrade, that could affect the pages. These changes could impact rendering time.
Review macro configuration (e.g., item limits, data queries)
Check the configuration of the reported macros. Pay attention to item limits, broad content scopes, complex data queries, report-style macros that aggregate across many spaces or pages, and macros that perform expensive permission checks.
Check app usage and recent activity
Identify whether certain macros, page templates, or content activity align with the time window during which performance degraded. Look for spikes in macro-heavy pages, larger result sets, permission-intensive content trees, or workflows that could increase the number of pages evaluated by the macro. Adjust your app usage and check if the rendering time improves.
Contact the Marketplace partner for guidance or support
If performance issues continue after you adjust the configuration or usage, reach out to the app vendor. Share that you’re seeing high macro.render times, the time window when RFU and macro.render degraded, and any relevant configuration or usage patterns, so they can recommend optimizations or fixes.
Disable the app temporarily if the impact is severe
If the app is non-critical and the performance impact is severe, consider temporarily disabling the app or pausing the feature path that uses the macro most heavily to see if performance improves.
