Configure your type of ideas and their hierarchies
An idea is the unit of work in Jira Product An idea is the unit of work in Jira Product Discovery projects. You can create your own type of ideas, such as a user problem, a customer, a bet, an opportunity, a solution, and so on. An idea view has fields you can use to describe its key attributes, such as goals, team, priority score, or impact. On top of this, you can connect ideas through connection fields. For instance, you can have an opportunity type of idea and connect it to a solution type of idea through connection fields. These relationships don’t have a predetermined hierarchy, but you can visually represent one in your views by playing with filters, grouping, and fields.
Additionally, you can attach insights to an idea, such as user interview notes or support tickets. When the engineering team is ready to actively work on them, ideas are linked to work items in Jira.
