Make Rovo your thought partner – Think deeper mode

Rovo Chat is great at responding to quick asks and tasks like rewording or summarizing information. But for more complex requests, Think deeper reasoning turns Rovo into a strategic problem solver. In this mode, Rovo spends more time analyzing and planning before responding. It looks more broadly at information to deliver a more structured, nuanced response.

Rovo Chat can activate Think deeper implicitly if it detects a multi-layered or open-ended prompt, or you can select it explicitly to boost analytical power.

Rovo Chat reasoning menu is open. "Let Rovo decide" is selected as default. Think deeper and Deep research options are below.

This mode is optimized for strategic reasoning, and tells Rovo to spend extra cycles thinking, breaking down the problem, weighing trade‑offs, and structuring an answer. Response time depends on the complexity of your question, the amount of data being analyzed, and the current processing queue, but it typically won’t take more than 2 minutes. When Rovo is in Think deeper mode, it shares a step-by-step breakdown of its reasoning so you can follow along.

If Rovo is taking longer than you want to wait, select the red square button in the bottom-right corner of the chat window to stop generating the response.

Think deeper is distinct from Deep research mode, which similarly asks Rovo to think harder but is optimized for discovery and synthesis, leveraging Teamwork Graph to identify org-wide patterns. Think deeper is designed as a middle ground: faster and lighter than deep research, but more structured and nuanced than a basic chat.
