Manage your team profile

Your team profile allows you to give your team an identity and your team members a shared context. It's where you can describe the team's purpose, goals, and add a team photo.

  • Give your team a name and description to tell everyone what your team is about

  • Give your team a cover photo to add some personality

  • Manage team members to be clear about who’s on the team

  • Enable or disable team membership controls (invite-only team or open team)

  • Add links to organize and share your team’s work

  • Connect goals or projects to share what your team is working on

  • Set the team hierarchy to show where the team fits within the organization

  • Stay up to date on what the team is working on

Team profiles can be seen by other people in your organization, so everyone can find you and understand what your team is working on.

Manage your team’s information

Organization admins and any member of the team can manage the team’s profile information. You can edit the team name and description fields on your team profile by clicking on them.

Manage where your team works

The Team links section allows you to connect a Jira project, Confluence space, or Loom space to your team, helping you:

  • Show where your team works in Jira, Confluence, and Loom

  • Highlight or bookmark where your team works outside of Atlassian products

  • Make a clear association with projects in Jira and spaces in Confluence and Loom, while giving a shortcut to your team’s profile.

Anyone in your organization with access to Jira, Confluence, and/or Loom can connect a team to a space. Any team member can also add web links to the team profile.

Once a space is connected to your team profile, the team’s association will be visible directly within the linked Jira or Confluence space. This helps everyone quickly see which team is associated with each space.

  • There is a maximum of 10 total links allowed on the team profile page.

  • A team can be connected to a maximum of 15 spaces.

In addition to where your team works, you can also add links to other places your team works or resources your team provides. You can add a link to external apps, relevant dashboards or analytics, onboarding documentation, or their current project poster. Both team members and people who are not members can access these links. Currently, teams can have a maximum of 10 links added to their profile, including connections to Jira projects, Confluence spaces, and Loom spaces.

Organization admins, user access admins, and team members can add, edit, or remove a team link. Team links can be arranged in the order you choose, so your most important links stay at the top.
