Connect to your Data Center instance

Connect to your Data Center instances to add them to your portfolio. When you connect, we can:

  • Improve discovery by scanning app links

  • Collect data to generate cloud readiness assessment

  • Collect data to generate optimization insights

Before you begin

Make sure you’ve completed the prerequisites.

Some connection steps will differ based on the Data Center version you’re using:

  • For the following versions you’ll use cloud connectors.

    • Jira Data Center 11.3, Confluence Data Center 10.2, and later versions.

    • Jira Data Center 10.3.23 and later 10.3 versions, and Confluence Data Center 9.2.22 and later 9.2 versions.

  • If you’re on newer versions and have problems connecting, see Configure cloud connectors.

Connection status

There are different statuses that show how your on-premises devices are connected to the cloud. Each status tells you what's happening with your connection and plays an important role in managing and monitoring the connection. Here’s a brief overview of connection statuses:

Status

Description

Initialized

Connection started but is not yet complete.

Connected

Connection successfully established.

Disconnected

Connection has been manually terminated.

Interrupted

Connection was active but has unexpectedly stopped working.

Expired
