Portfolio Insights: Data and metrics app

The Portfolio Insights: Data and metrics app is designed to help you move to Atlassian Cloud securely, reliably, and with minimal disruption to your business operations. It provides the underlying infrastructure for securely downloading and running Atlassian-supplied assessment queries, enabling faster and more efficient instance assessments.

By allowing assessment queries to be updated automatically, the app reduces the need for frequent updates of the migration assistant, shortening turnaround times and supporting a smoother, more predictable migration journey.

動作の仕組み

Assessments in Portfolio Insights are based on ID‑based data and entity counts collected from your instance using different queries. To use the latest queries and provide the most accurate results, the Portfolio Insights: Data and metrics app downloads predefined query definitions from Atlassian Cloud and runs them on your Data Center instance.

All downloaded queries are digitally signed by Atlassian, which helps ensure they haven’t been altered and that a malicious actor can’t replace them in transit.

The app is bundled with the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant 1.12.50 or later.

To install it, update your migration assistant to this version. No additional steps are required.

Additional support

Here you can find information on how to disable downloading new queries. Note that not using the latest queries will affect the accuracy of your results in Portfolio Insights, will might result in delaying your migration to Atlassian Cloud.

Disabling the download of new queries

If you don’t want the app to download new queries to your instance, you can disable this using a dark feature.
