Migrate Statuspage to use Atlassian accounts
Learn everything you need to know to migrate you and your team to Atlassian accounts.
Statuspage integrates with New Relic Synthetics by parsing the emails that New Relic sends out when your site goes down or comes back up.
Create a new monitor in New Relic under Synthetics.
Set up an alert policy for your new monitor in New Relic.
Create a notification channel in New Relic with the component’s email address from Statuspage.
When the monitor recognizes an issue, it will send an email to the unique component automation email address and set the component to a "Major Outage" state.
Once the monitor recognizes the issue is resolved, it will send a second email and set the component back to "Fully Operational."
Open New Relic.
Select Synthetics from the top navigation.
Select Create monitor in the top right.
Choose your monitor type.
Input the information and settings for the new monitor.
Click Create my monitor.
You’ll see a summary dashboard for your new monitor.
Select Alerts & AI in the top navigation in New Relic.
Follow these instructions from New Relic to create an alert policy for the monitor you created in the steps above.
Once your alert policy is created, you’ll see it listed in New Relic under Alerts & AI > Policies.
In Statuspage, select Components in the left sidebar.
Find the component you want to automate from the list of components and select Automation. The page will show you the unique email address where you will send New Relic alerts.
Open New Relic.
Follow these instructions from New Relic to create a new notification channel.
Paste the unique email address you copied from Statuspage for the component you want to automate into the Channel details before selecting Create channel.
Now, when the monitor recognizes an issue, it will send an email to the unique component automation email address and set the component to a "Major Outage" state.
Once the monitor recognizes the issue is resolved, it will send a second email and set the component back to "Fully Operational."
