What is Rovo?

Rovo is now included in all paid Jira, Confluence and Jira Service Management subscriptions. Standard, Premium and Enterprise customers will get Rovo added to eligible sites over the next few months.

Atlassian Rovo is a new app that helps you turn information into action. When you get Rovo, you get a growing list of features that accelerate finding, learning, and acting on information across your Atlassian and third-party apps:

  • Find: Search across data, tools, and platforms (including third-party apps and your own custom websites) to get contextual and relevant results within your Atlassian experience.

  • Learn: Explore your company’s data more deeply through AI-driven insights, knowledge cards, and Chat.

  • Act: Work with specialized Agents to help with time-consuming tasks, reduce repetitive work and analyse complex content.

Rovo is a leap forward in how teams work together and collaborate with AI. It unleashes the potential in teams by helping them make better decisions and take impactful actions faster.

When we use the term “Atlassian Rovo” or “Rovo” in this documentation, we mean the bundle of features listed on Explore Rovo features, as well as any other “Rovo” branded features.

Rovo Search allows you to search across multiple tools at once without context-switching.

Search combines results from your Atlassian apps (like Jira and Confluence) with connected third-party apps (like Google Drive and Slack). Rovo respects your user permissions, so users can only see what they already have access to.

Over time, we'll add more tools and apps to Rovo Search.

How to connect third-party apps

Rovo Chat

With Rovo Chat, you can engage in interactive conversations to ask questions, generate new ideas, get helpful feedback, and resolve issues while you work. Chat is based on your company’s data (from both Atlassian and connected third-party apps), but only uses content you have access to.

Rovo Chat is accessible within Jira, Jira Service Management, Jira Product Discovery and Confluence, as well as anywhere you work through the Rovo browser extension - giving you the assistance you need without disrupting your workflow.

Rovo Agents

Rovo Agents are AI-powered virtual teammates working alongside your team. They bring specialized knowledge and custom skills to your workflows and processes. Agents can:

  • generate, review, and refine content

  • answer questions and give recommendations based on best practice in your organization

  • help with team culture such as onboarding new employees, building team gratitude, and facilitating team collaboration

  • streamline time-consuming tasks like cleaning up Jira backlogs, organizing Confluence pages, or aligning content to formatting specs.

  • take actions (with your permission) like organize, create, or edit Jira issues or Confluence pages.

Agents are quick and easy to setup and customize, to fit the needs of your team.
