Setting up Data Center for instance optimization

Data Center Optimization helps you monitor and optimize your Data Center instances. This guide will walk you through the setup process.

General prerequisites

• You need system administrator permissions for Data Center instances.

• Works with any supported Data Center version for Jira and Confluence

Install Cloud companion app

To install the Cloud companion app:

1. Jira Data Center インスタンスで [管理] > [アプリを管理] に移動します。

2. [新しいアプリを探す] を選択します。

3. Search for Cloud companion.

4. Select Install to add it to your instance.

Atlassian Troubleshooting and Support Tools (ATST) プラグインを更新する

To update the ATST plugin:

1. Jira Data Center インスタンスで [管理] > [アプリを管理] に移動します。

2. Search for Atlassian Troubleshooting and Support Tools.

3. アップデートがある場合は、プラグイン名の横にある [アップデート] を選択します。

4. アップデートが完了すると、確認メッセージが表示されます。

Note: If there's no update option, your ATST plugin is likely on the latest version.

JMX と製品内診断 (IPD) のモニタリングを設定する

To configure JMX and In-product diagnostics:

1. [管理] > [システム] の順に移動します。

2. In the left-side panel, go to System Support, and select Monitoring.

3. [JMX モニタリングを有効化] を切り替えます。

4. Toggle on IPD monitoring.

Configure network access

To enable data transmission between your Data Center instance and Atlassian cloud:

1. Configure the allowlist in Jira:

   1. Go to Administration > System > Allowlist.

   2. Add the https://api.atlassian.com domain.

2. Configure your firewall:

   • Create a new rule to allow TCP connection to api.atlassian.com on port 443.

Create or use an Atlassian cloud organization

You'll need an Atlassian cloud organization to use Data center optimization in Portfolio insights.

Use an existing organization:

1. Go to https://admin.atlassian.com.

2. Sign in with your Atlassian account.

3. 複数の組織がある場合は、対象の組織を選択します。

Or create a new organization:

1. Open https://admin.atlassian.com/o/create in your web browser

2. Sign up or sign in with your Atlassian account

3. 組織名を入力し、[作成] を選択します。

You'll see a pop-up about a free trial of Guard. This subscription is entirely optional and not required for optimization features.

クラウドへのデータ送信を有効にする

To enable data transfer:

1. [管理] > [システム] > [トラブルシューティングとサポート ツール] に移動します。

2. Select the Optimization tab.

3. Toggle on Enable sending data to cloud
