Collect and upload your data manually

If you can’t connect to your Data Center instance to automatically collect the data, you can run a manual assessment and upload the archive with results to Portfolio insights. The cloud readiness report will look exactly the same.

移行アシスタントのバージョン

You need to update your Jira or Confluence cloud migration assistant to the latest version. You might not be able to run the assessment in earlier versions or upload the results.

Difference between manual and automatic assessment

Manual assessment needs to be started in the migration assistant while the automatic one is triggered when you connect a Data Center instance to Portfolio insights. In both cases, the Cloud readiness report looks exactly the same. Connecting to a Data Center instance has these additional benefits:

• Easy way to re-assess and refresh data directly from Portfolio insights

• Additional capabilities of Portfolio insights, such as improved instance discovery

1. Run the assessment from the migration assistant

1. Open your migration assistant by going to:

   • Jira: Administration > System > Migrate to cloud.

   • Confluence: Administration > General configuration > Migration Assistant.

2. ホーム画面に、[Assess your instance (インスタンスを評価)] カードが表示されます。

3. [Begin assessing (評価を開始する)] を選択します。

The duration of the assessment depends on your data, but on average it takes a few hours. You should see a more accurate estimate when you start assessing. Once it’s done, you can download a ZIP archive with the results.

2. Get an Atlassian Cloud organization

Portfolio insights lives in admin.atlassian.com, so you’ll need an Atlassian Cloud organization to view it. If you don’t have one already, you can create one for free.

3. Upload the assessment to Portfolio insights

移行アシスタントから ZIP アーカイブをダウンロードしたら、ポートフォリオ インサイトにアップロードします。

評価ファイルをアップロードするには、次の手順に従います。

1. 移動 Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.

2. Select Insights > Portfolio insights.

3. [...] > [評価ファイルをアップロード] の順に選択して、ZIP アーカイブを選択します。

Once you upload the archive, your Data Center instance should appear on the Apps list. To view your cloud readiness report, select the instance, then select View insights in the right-hand panel.
