Teams in Confluence permissions
Use teams to grant access to a collection of people across Confluence. In most places you can manage access with groups, you can also use a team.

Note: Teams will appear in site-level analytics permissions, but these permissions won’t currently respect the team controls below.
Control team types used in Confluence permissions
Confluence admins can configure the type of teams that can be used in Confluence permissions for their site. Select all teams, only verified teams, or no teams.
Go to Confluence administration and select Teams.
Select the type of teams that can be used in Confluence permissions.
Save your selection.
If you have enabled teams in Confluence permissions but are not able to assign access to some or all of your teams, you may need to migrate some of your teams from org-level visibility to site-level visibility.
Default settings for teams in permissions
The default settings for which type of teams are allowed for use in Confluence permissions depends on when your Confluence site was created.
Existing customers: If your site was created before this feature was released, the Teams settings are disabled by default so Teams can’t be assigned access in Confluence.
New customers: If your site was created after this feature was released, the Teams settings are enabled by default so all Team types can be assigned access in Confluence.
Confluence app admins can adjust these settings in Confluence administration.
Teams support in migrations
Teams in Confluence permissions are not yet supported for all migration types:
