Manage labor rates in Talent
You can create, update, and delete labor rates inside of Talent by managing CSV file data in admin settings. Labor rates are used by both Talent and Focus to display labor costs broken down by position and focus area.
Create labor rates
You can create labor rates during and after initial configuration with the following admin settings:
Default labor rate
The default labor rate is used when a specific rate for a position and attribute combination is not found. Set this rate in the Default labor rate field found in the Labor rates page of Talent admin settings.
Upload labor rates CSV
You can create a customized CSV file template that contains the position and attribute combinations you want to track labor costs for. See set up labor rates for Talent for details on how to create and upload this CSV.
View and update labor rates
To view the labor rates currently used by Talent, navigate to Talent admin settings, and then select Labor rates. In the Bulk update section, the Current data field will show the last time a labor rates CSV file was uploaded.
Select the More (…) icon and then select Export to download a copy of the latest CSV file upload.
Delete labor rates
You can clear the customized labor rates used by Talent by deleting the latest CSV file upload.
Navigate to Talent admin settings, and then select Labor rates.
In the Bulk update section, select the More (…) icon next to Current data.
Select Delete to remove all labor rates and the latest CSV file upload.
You will need to upload a new CSV file with new rates, otherwise the current default labor rate will be used for calculating labor costs.
Delete all labor rate data and disable
You can completely remove all custom and default labor rate data and disable labor rate functionality:
Navigate to Talent admin settings, and then select Labor rates.
In the Delete all data section, select the Delete all data.
All CSV file upload labor rates, and the default labor rate are removed. The Enable toggle at the top of the page will also be switched off, disabling labor rate functionality.
