Regenerate the security key

For security purposes, the security key that you use to connect to Data Center instances expires after 30 days. Once a security key expires, you'll see an expired status in the connectivity status. To ensure a continuous and secure connection between your Data Center instance and Atlassian cloud, you must regenerate the security key before it expires.

To regenerate the security key:

  1. In Portfolio insights, select the Apps tab.

  2. Next to your Data Center instance, select Actions > Reconnect.

  3. This action will generate a new security key.

  4. Follow the same process as the initial connection. See Connect to instances from your portfolio.
