Collect and upload Optimization data manually

If you’re unable to connect to your Data Center instance from Portfolio insights, you can manually collect and upload the data, and use it to show Optimization insights.

Before you begin

For manual upload, the data is based on the support.zip file available in the Atlassian Troubleshooting and Support app. To learn more about creating support.zip and the file contents, see Creating support.zip.

Requirements

  • You need to update the Atlassian Troubleshooting and Support Tools app to the latest version before generating the support zip.

Good to know

  • The support.zip may contain personal information such as usernames, email addresses, and IP addresses. Learn more about security and data handling

  • Data residency for the uploaded file is separate from Portfolio insights data residency. You can set it in admin.atlassian.com by going to Security > Data residency.

  • You need to upload a new support.zip file on a regular basis to keep the results up to date. We include data from the last 7 days even if your support.zip has more data.

Create a support.zip file

To create the support.zip file:

  1. In Data Center, go to Administration > System > Troubleshooting and support tools.

  2. Switch to the Create support zip tab.

  3. Select Create zip. You’ll need to create and upload a separate file for each Data Center node.
