Resolve Access Issues: "Page Available to Jira Users Only" in Jira Cloud

Platform Notice: Cloud Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the cloud platform.

Summary

Jira users are unable to access any boards and receive the error:

  • "This page is available to Jira users only. Reach out to your administrator to request Jira access."

Solution

Confirm affected user has the necessary permissions

  1. Navigate to Project settings > Permissions

  2. Confirm the affected user has the Browse Projects permission, or belongs to a group or project role that does

Next, check your Board filter query.

  1. Navigate to the board

  2. Select ... (More settings) > Configure Board

  3. In the General tab, scroll to Filter details and expand it

Confirm that the filter permissions include the people that should have access to your Board. Please refer to our documentation Manage filters for more details.

Also, there is a possibility that the Board might have been deleted.

Ensure Jira license subscription is valid and active

Finally, validate if the user has a Jira license associated with their account. If not, please refer to Give users access to products.

This error may also occur after the deactivation of your Jira subscription.

To validate this, a Site Administrator can navigate to admin.atlassian.com > Products. For the Jira product, you may see a warning sign which indicates that the subscription is deactivated.

Please check the billing status by navigating to https://my.atlassian.com/products/index.

If the payment is done and the product still shows as deactivated, kindly reach out to Support.
