Connect Bitbucket Cloud to Compass

Compass is a developer experience platform that lets you catalog your organization’s software architecture, set and monitor standards, automate repetitive tasks, and improve engineering culture.

By connecting Bitbucket to Compass, you can quickly create a Compass catalog using repositories, and send information between both – bringing your code and software catalog closer together.

Before you begin

You must be an site admin or higher to take the steps in this section. If you’re not a site admin, you can still request access to Compass, which a site admin has to approve.

Get Compass for free, and choose, request, or create a new Atlassian site to add it to.

Connect Bitbucket Cloud to Compass

You must be a Bitbucket workspace admin and a Compass product admin to take the steps in this section.

  1. In Compass, select Apps in the main navigation.

  2. Find the Bitbucket for Compass app and select Install.

  3. Select Configure.

  4. Select Connect.

  5. Choose a Bitbucket workspace to connect Compass to. You’ll only see workspaces that you’re an admin of.

  6. Select Grant access.

The Bitbucket workspace will appear in the app. You can also connect more workspaces that you’re an admin of.
