Limit project visibility to customers on portal in JSM Cloud
Platform Notice: Cloud Only - This article only applies to Atlassian apps on the cloud platform.
Summary
You may need to restrict which customers can view the customer portal (and submit requests) for a service project on your help center.
Solution
Changing the Customer Permissions
Go to Project settings > Access >Customer permissions.
Under Channel Access, select Restricted - Only people directly invited to this project can submit requests.
Save.
Outcome
Only customers and customer organizations specifically added to the service project can view its customer portal and submit requests.
Customers can't access the project portal unless an agent or administrator adds them.
Project administrators can still view the project portal in the help center after access to the project is restricted. This administrator visibility does not change the restriction applied to customers.
More details about customer permissions can be found in the document below:
Restricting customer permissions limits portal visibility, and request submission to customers and customer organizations specifically added to the project. If the goal is to fully disable or hide the service project's portal, use the existing documentation instead.
