Customize your support website

Customizing your support website helps you create a useful and branded experience for your customers. You can add and organize articles, create custom pages, and apply your brand to make your support website visually consistent and easy to use. A support website is automatically created for each of your customer experiences. Read more about support websites.

Articles and resource tiles

Articles are the foundation of your support website and can also power your AI customer service agent. Find out how to create articles.

All published articles appear as resource tiles on your support website’s homepage. Resource tiles display your articles and folders, making it easy for customers to find and access important information.

Edit resource tiles

You can customize the appearance and content of resource tiles to match your brand and layout preferences.

To edit resource tiles:

  1. In the support website editor, select the Resource tiles element on your homepage.

  2. Select Edit.

  3. Select Styles to choose the preferred corner style and tile alignment.

  4. Select Content to add or change the image for individual tiles.

  5. Select Publish, then the updated resource tiles will appear on your support website.

Create and edit pages

Pages let you add custom content to your support website, such as an ‘About’ page or ‘Terms and conditions’. Pages are different from articles — they’re used for general information or custom content.

To create and edit a page:

  1. In your customer experience, select Channels, then Support website from the sidebar.

  2. On the Pages tab, select Create page.

  3. Enter a page name and description, then select Create. Your new page will be added to your list of pages.

  4. In the right-hand column of the page you want to edit, select Actions, then Edit page. You’ll be taken to support website editor where you can edit the selected page.

You can move between pages from within the editor by selecting the Home dropdown menu at the top left of the page.

Design your pages with the editor

The editor lets you design the layout and appearance of the pages on your support website. Use the editor to:

  • arrange and resize elements on your homepage, such as resource tiles, carousels, and spotlights

  • add elements like text blocks, images, buttons, and dividers to create a custom look and feel

  • customize the style of elements, including colors, fonts, corner styles, and alignment

To access the editor:

  1. In your customer experience, select Channels, then Support website from the sidebar.

  2. On the Overview tab, select Customize website.

Apply your brand

You can customize your support website to match your brand by adding your logo and brand color.

To apply your brand logo and color:

  1. In your customer experience, select Branding from the sidebar.

  2. Upload your logo. This will appear on your support website and across your customer channels. You can also add your brand icon and tile.

  3. Add your brand color using the color picker or by entering a hex code. The brand color will automatically update key elements on your support website, such as navigation, banners, links, and buttons.

Your support website will update immediately to reflect your new branding. You can update your logo and brand color at any time. The changes will apply across your support website and any connected customer channels.

Overriding brand colors on your support website

When you set a brand color in the Branding page, it’s applied across your support website by default. If you want more control, from the editor you can override the brand color for the whole website or for specific elements.

  • To override the brand color for your entire support website, from within the editor, select Theme (the paintbrush icon) next to the Publish button at the top of the page. When you apply a new theme color, it replaces the brand color set in Branding for all areas of your support website.

  • To override the brand color for an element like a spotlight or carousel, select the element, select Edit, then choose a new color. This change only affects that specific element.

When you select a new color in the editor — either by changing the theme color for the whole site or for individual elements — the brand color set on the Branding page will be overridden. This will continue to be the case, even if the brand colour is reset. This gives you flexibility to keep your site on-brand while customizing specific areas as needed.

This will continue to be the case, even if the brand colour is reset.
