Access and check Rovo availability in Atlassian Cloud

Platform Notice: Cloud Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the cloud platform.

Summary

Learn why Rovo is not yet available to enable on your Atlassian site, how the phased rollout works, and what you can do while waiting for access.

Solution

What to Expect During the Rovo Rollout

Rovo, Atlassian's AI-powered solution, is being introduced to Atlassian Cloud customers through a phased rollout. If you don't see the option to enable Rovo on your site or encounter errors like missing activation buttons or 404 pages, this is expected until your organization is included in the rollout. This applies to production, sandbox, and trial environments, even if you are on a Premium or Enterprise plan.

Rollout Schedule and Eligibility

  • Premium and Enterprise customers with Atlassian Intelligence (AI) enabled for all products will receive Rovo between April 14, 2025, and July 2025.

  • Standard plan customers will receive Rovo later in 2025, after the initial rollout.

  • We are enabling Rovo in batches, so not all organizations will get access simultaneously.

  • You can't manually enable Rovo or request activation outside the scheduled rollout.

  • Atlassian can't provide a specific enablement date for individual organizations.

Common Scenarios and Expected Behavior

  • Rovo option missing in admin panel: If you don't see the Rovo option in your admin panel, it means your site hasn't been included in the rollout yet.

  • 404 or error when accessing Rovo settings: This indicates Rovo is not yet available for your organization.

  • Sandbox vs. production differences: Depending on the rollout schedule, Rovo might appear in your sandbox environment before production or the other way around. Each site is enabled individually.

  • No trial option: The Rovo trial ended on April 14, 2025. Access is now managed through the phased rollout.

Actions to Take While Waiting

  • Sign up for the Rovo waitlist to express interest and potentially receive earlier access: Rovo waitlist form.

  • Monitor your email for a notification from Atlassian when Rovo is enabled for your organization.

  • Review official resources to prepare for Rovo's arrival:

  • Test Rovo in your sandbox (if available) without affecting your production environment. Activation must be done separately for each site.

Limitations and Restrictions in Current Processes

  • You can't manually enable Rovo before your organization is included in the rollout.

  • Atlassian Support agents can't activate Rovo for you ahead of schedule.

  • There is no workaround to force-enable Rovo or restore the feature if it is missing.

Notifications and Next Steps

  • You will receive an email from Atlassian when Rovo is available for your site. Follow the instructions in the email to activate Rovo.

  • Once enabled, Rovo will be included at no additional cost in your Premium or Enterprise subscription, and you will not be invoiced separately.

  • Usage limits will apply based on your subscription and user count. For more details, see Rovo usage limits.
