An error message is displayed upon voting or accepting an answer

Summary

Upon trying to accept or upvote an answer for the Questions for Confluence app, an "Accept answer did not work" message is displayed:

Diagnosis

• Confirm that the Questions for Confluence app has all necessary Space permissions added to the system user.

• Under the Add-on tab for the space permissions, confirm that the groups from the user have the Add, View, and Delete permissions under the Questions tab.

ℹ️ Granting individual user permissions will not work due to a specific bug.

Cause

Although all the permissions are correct, if the Questions for Confluence user does not have any permissions in the Add-on tab for the space permissions, in the Questions part, no users will be able to accept or upvote an answer.

Solution

As a space administrator, make sure to grant all the necessary permissions for the Questions for Confluence user under the Add-on tab of the space permissions:

1. While navigating on the space, tap Space settings

2. There, look for the Permissions option and then, select the Add-on tab.

3. Tap Edit

4. Check all checkboxes for the Questions for Confluence user. This system app user should have space permissions added in order to appear in this tab.

5. Tap Save all to confirm the changes.
