Summary

Learn what to do when the Fix invalid email addresses raise the message "The CSV file used as a reference for updating users is out of date or contains invalid email addresses."

Overview

After following the Update users based on the CSV file document and uploading the file in the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA), a message appears stating that either the CSV file used is out of date or there are still invalid emails in the user base.

This indicates that between the user assessment CSV download and the CSV file upload, new users were created or edited in the instance, and now new users contain invalid email addresses.

Solution

  1. Rerun the user assessment to get a new CSV file.

  2. Check the user's difference between the new and the old file.

  3. Complement the old CSV with the new data.

  4. Upload the enhanced CSV file to JCMA.
