Summary

Understand why personal draft pages unexpectedly migrate from the Confluence Data Center to the Cloud.

Overview

Per the document What migrates with the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant, personal drafts should not be migrated from the Data Center to the Cloud.

The root cause of the issue is the Collaborative Editing feature being enabled in the source Confluence Data Center.

This setting treats all drafts as Shared drafts, making them eligible for migration by the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA).

Solution

If personal drafts should not be migrated, you can turn off the collaborative editing feature in Confluence Data Center before the migration.
