Requests automatically shared with organization

Summary

By default, Jira shares all the new requests automatically with the whole organization. This article covers steps that you can use to change this setting so that requests are no longer automatically shared with the whole organization.

Global Setting

This setting can be changed by going to Settings > Products > Configuration (under Jira Service Management), under the "Organization management" section. Choose the option : 

(Auto-migrated image: description temporarily unavailable)

This should stop sharing of issues automatically with other users from the Organization. PS : This feature was implemented as part of this feature request: JSDCLOUD-4382 - Allow turning off sharing request with Organization by default

Automation

If you identify that the above option is set to NO and still requests are shared with the Organization after the ticket is created, verify if there were any recent Automation Rule runs that may have edited the Organizations field. Adding any value to this field will automatically share the request with the selected Organization.
