New Relic MCP (read-only) app appearing in Connected Apps for Rovo
Platform Notice: Cloud Only - This article only applies to Atlassian apps on the cloud platform.
Summary
The New Relic MCP (read-only) app appears as 'Installed by System' because it is part of the Rovo Ops out-of-the-box agent. This bundled integration adds observability to Rovo. As a system-level enablement, it shows as installed by "System" and does not create a site- or organization-level audit log entry for a manual installation.
Solution
If you notice this app in your environment, no action is required as it is a standard part of the Rovo Ops feature set.
Verification
Navigate to admin.atlassian.com.
Go to Apps > Platform Experiences > Sites and select your site.
Navigate to Connected apps.
You will see New Relic MCP (read-only) listed with the "Installed by" field set to System.
Disabling or Removing the App
If your organization does not intend to use the Rovo Ops observability features, you can manage the app through the admin interface:
Navigate to admin.atlassian.com.
Go to Apps > Platform Experiences > Sites and select your site.
Navigate to Connected apps.
In the Connected apps list, search for New Relic.
Click on the app details.
Select uninstall the app directly through the UI.
