Navigation reference guide

Why we built the new navigation

Previously, each Atlassian app had its own layout and navigation pattern, which made switching between tools harder than it needed to be.

To solve this inconsistency, we’ve introduced a new navigation experience that aligns how you move through Jira, Confluence, Atlassian Home, and Focus. While it's currently available in these products, we’re gradually rolling it out across all Atlassian apps. The goal is simple: make it easier to move between tools, stay oriented, and get work done faster. The new navigation also brings a modern look and feel, along with customization options that let you tailor it to the unique way you work.
