Images in Confluence pages are broken after migration

Summary

Learn what to do when some of the images in your recently migrated Confluence pages are broken after the migration.

Overview

After migrating Confluence spaces from on-premise to the cloud, some images in the pages appear to be broken:

Broken image error

It was identified that Confluence Cloud could not render some images as their size were below the 16px minimum size requirement for a image.

Validation

To validate if your image size is set below 16px:

  1. Edit the page.

  2. Click in the image.

You will see a toolbox below the image with the size in pixels:

Solution

Resize the image for anything above 16px and publish the page.
