Summary
The documentation below outlines the migration of chart custom fields created at site creation during Jira cloud-to-cloud migration.
Solution
Overview
"[CHART] Date of First Response" and "[CHART] Time in Status" are chart custom fields created during a cloud site creation. When performing a cloud-to-cloud migration, a post-migration report indicates that these two fields are not supported:
The Date of First Response custom field is not supported via migration. The value for this issue will not be migrated
The Time in Status custom field is not supported via migration. The value for this issue will not be migratedThe post-migration report may say that these chart fields are unsupported, but the fields can still have values on the destination site. The destination cloud site generates these chart fields during site creation and updates their values after migration.
Chart Custom Field Value Population in Cloud
Field | How the destination value is populated |
|---|---|
| Auto-generates from the date of the first comment on the work item. |
| Generated from the average time a work item has spent in a particular status. |
Verify the result: On the destination cloud site, check a migrated work item and confirm that the two chart fields display values. If the migration report still lists the fields as unsupported, retain the report for comparison; do not interpret that warning alone as proof that the destination values are missing.
