Summary

When using Automation for Jira's webhook functionality with system fields, the webhook received has system fields in a language different from the default language set in Jira.

Environment

Jira Server / Data Center 8.0.0 and any higher version

Automation for Jira 7.0.0 and any higher version.

Diagnosis

The Automation rule actor is set to run as a different user.

Cause

The language of the System Fields in the webhook is based on the Automation rule actor's profile language, rather than the default language set in Jira.

Solution

To ensure that webhooks are sent in the default language configured in Jira, change the Automation rule actor's language to match the default system language.
