'Update needed' error in the mobile app
Platform Notice: Data Center Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the Data Center platform.
Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Data Center KBs for non-Data-Center-specific features may also work for Server versions of the product, however they have not been tested. Support for Server* products ended on February 15th 2024. Problem
The Jira Data Center and Server mobile app shows the following error:
Cause
We've released a newer version of the Jira Data Center and Server mobile app, and you need to update the app on your device to keep using Jira on the go.
Resolution
To update the app:
Tap Update now. You will be redirected to the App Store or Play Store.
Update the app to the latest available version.
