Summary

When trying to close an Epic, Jira's workflow validator returns a message that all epic children should be resolved before allow to close the Epic.

However, when editing the Epic, all linked issues and child issues are already in the Closed state.

Cause

The condition created at the validator is using the clause "Linked issue belongs to same Project as current issue" and there is an issue linked to this Epic from another Project Area.

Solution

Remove the clause "Linked issue belongs to same Project as current issue" or remove the link between the Epic and the issue from the other Project.
